POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate MSM Manager will be responsible for overall Direct Material Supply management, supporting both in-house and external manufacturing sites in Philippines. This individual has direct responsibility for improving material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance and responsiveness and end-to-end lead times. He/She is the primary point of contact (PPOC) for the assigned sites interface with internal and external business partners and suppliers, abiding by the spirit of Johnson and Johnson Credo. A key focus area for this individual is development and enhancement of processes, systems and reporting capabilities to improve efficiency of plant-based material supply services. This individual will be accountable for identifying best practices and appropriate competitive benchmarks, leveraging technology, implementing approved process changes and monitoring metrics necessary to achieve targeted performance goals
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for all aspects of incoming material supply chains as the primary point of contact (PPOC) at assigned sites.
-Drives improvements in material reliability, customer fulfillment, supplier delivery performance and responsiveness and proactively identifies and mitigates potential service disruptions related to incoming material supply.
-Establishes, manages, and maintains key supplier relationships.
-Establishes Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and participates in supplier selection and negotiations, as necessary as appropriate.
-Drives Supplier S&OP or capacity planning process; Optimizes end-to-end lead times, MOQ and inventory to improve responsiveness and agility.
-Drives the implementation of Global MSM standard procedures and performance metrics.
-Partners with Quality and Compliance on supplier quality improvement initiatives.
-Identifies problematic suppliers and works jointly with Quality and Compliance and Strategic Sourcing to correct or exit.
-Supports the execution of Cost improvement projects (CIPs) and source change initiatives.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
-BA/BS in Business/Science/Technical or Engineering degree
-Abilty to communicate effectively, recognize differences in requirements and strategies.
-Ability to follow up on commitments and keep customer apprised of potential delays.
-Takes full ownership and responsibility for quality of work.
-Results oriented and able to independently create and deliver
-Diligent efforts to ensure full compliance to regulatory, legal, as well as J&J internal requirements.
-6 to 8 years relevant work experience in Manufacturing and supplier management space is an added advantage
-Certification or knowledge in Process Excellence Six-sigma, LEAN, and Quality tools are desirable
-English speaking required, multi-language skills are preferred
-Well-versed in Excel skills, proficient in PowerPoint and MS Project applications
-Experience in using SAP and other MRP/ERP software highly preferred. Access database skills desirable
EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL INTERACTIONS
Actively promote and maintain professional communication standards to those outside of the organization. Interaction with suppliers is critical to this role. Coordination and leading root cause analysis as well as identification of alternates/ options and solutions with internal business partners as well as suppliers and contract sites.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT. May range from 15-25% and may vary throughout the year
