The GFS initiative will establish or expand regional shared service centers around the globe to perform finance work in areas such as accounts payable, invoice to cash, financial accounting and travel expense transaction processing services for Johnson and Johnson GFS Global Finance Center (GFC) in Manila provides accounts payables, accounts receivables and general accounting services to J and J companies in Asia:Pacific and North America, with plans to expand coverage to other untant : Global Finance Services : Asia Pacific (Manila)(Based in Parañaque City, Metro Manila, Philippines)The Accountant role will be responsible for delivering specific accounting functions to support business sector(s) and countries serviced by Global Finance Services : Asia Pacific (Manila) in J and J. The role will be profiled and assigned to a particular service delivery team: Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR) or General Accounting (GA).Apart from actual service delivery, responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):1) Customer Service: Deliver serviceexcellence and maximize customer service and satisfaction: Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co:workers): Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issues: Ensure that service levels and targets are met as per Service Level Agreements: Perform problem tracking and ensure that issues are properly documented, prioritized, tracked, and resolved within the Service Level Agreements (SLA): Ensure proper and timely escalation of issues so that they are resolved to meet internal and external expectations: Use aconsiderable amount of discretion in escalating issues to appropriate parties : co:workers, team leads and process managers2) Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovate solutions so the team can operate in an efficient and cost effective manner3)Audit and Compliance: Comply with J and J related policies and procedure i.e. Worldwide Procedure (WWP), Internal Control Handbook (ICH), global process and any legal and regulatory requirement that J and J is obliged to adhere to4) Team Performance: Contribute to team effort and assist co:workers as needed to balance workloads: Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork: Work both independently and as a team member: Cross train with other accountants to provide backup and knowledge of other business areasQualifications: Bachelors degree in Accountancy or finance:related course: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) a plus: At least 1 year accounting:related work experience: Experience in a shared services center of a multinational corporation desirable but not required: Strong team working and relationship building skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to read, understand, verbally exchange information and compose written material for business purposes in English: Flexibility to adapt to needs of diverse cultures and business disciplines: Good analytical competencies: Ability to prioritize own work
